Incredible dude thanks for posting this I'm always so fascinated by these kinda intricate detailed 3d works maybe a few more of these and my simple mind will grasp the concepts a bit better :)

Well i used demo version 2.
I'm not good in sculpturing. I know i need to practice a lot! ^^;
Here is one of my unfinished work->[link] i started with zsphere. When i export it to c4d, my pc hanged & then i quit. :(

Yeah... I still don't consider myself any good at sculpting but I'm getting better with practice. ;p

I don't export models at high detail from ZBrush because my computer can't handle them either but you can export a low-poly version and then use a displacement map that you create in ZBrush from the high-poly model.
